Celebrating My Journey to 45

Hi all, It's hard to believe, but somehow I am turning 45 this year! In celebration of this rather large numbered birthday, I'm hoping that you can support my participation in generative somatics' Advanced Somatics & Trauma course.

I first started receiving support with a somatics therapist during a particularly difficult time in my life. Then in the last 4 years, my relationship with somatics has deepened even further because the organization where I work, Asian Pacific Environmental Network, has built a partnership with generative somatics to practice politicized somatics. Through the somatics practices at APEN, the daily practices that I do on my own, and the intensive gs courses, I have definitely undergone transformations, and many of you have told me that you see the changes happening over time too! I am more clear about who I am, what I long for, and my positive contributions to organizing work. I have received a lot of healing and resolution of past experiences in my life as well as my fears, so that I am more confident and ready in my leadership.

My commitment to this healing has been in service of the work I do in Asian immigrant and refugee communities and climate justice. This year's Advanced Somatics & Trauma course is for me to develop greater skills in advancing hard movement conversations, strengthen my ability around movement building, and more deeply connect with my sense of purpose.
