My name is Tabitha Thomas, and this year, I have been accepted to participate in a generative somatics (gs) course: Advanced Somatics and Trauma.

I first learned about gs in 2008 and [finally] got to take my first gs course in 2014, then titled, Social Justice Leadership Series. gs has been instrumental in my growth and transformation personally and professionally.

In 2018 I launched Creative Coaching where I provide individual and group support with focus on collective healing for social justice. I work with advocates seeking healing & transformation, for the sake of a stronger, more sustainable movement to end sexual violence.

This course directly supports my work as a Somatic Coach and Facilitator. Our first 5 day in-person training in September was incredible - I gained so much, all while being connected to some of the most inspiring, embodied leaders and healers I've come across. gs connects leaders and healers across movements. I am grateful to be among other politicized healers in this space and share in our learning and efforts as we work toward a more just world.
