Beloved community, fam and friends, |
This year marks two decades of being in practice to live my values of love, compassion, community, joy, interconnection, and justice. Over the last 20 years, I have been so blessed to learn from and with all of you, my many roll dawgs, mentors, and co-conspirators.
I recognize that deep change is happening, in our world and within this mind-body. This moment is calling in ways in which I know I have to be and do differently and better for myself and our people. I am striving to meet that moment, to be able to stand shoulder to shoulder in this everyday battle and struggle for a world in which we can all be fully who we are and are growing to be - thriving, beautiful, in balance, healthy -- in our purpose, on purpose.
I am so lucky to have the opportunity to attend Generative Somatics' School of Embodied Leadership next month in Petaluma, which can help me level up for me, for you, and for us.
"This 6-day course is about love and rigor. It is a fight for your dignity, and the ability to inspire the dignity of others on your path. It is a course focused on purpose, longing, and action. You will learn to value, motivate, and bring out the best in yourself and the people you work and live with. It is an intense training that will increase your endurance, strength, and flexibility – physically, mentally and emotionally. While the course focuses on you and your leadership development, gs SOEL also has a strong team component - it's practicing leadership in a live environment. It will strengthen your ability to stay focused and committed to your goals in the midst of complexity and chaos. How do you collaborate under pressure? Stay aligned with your values and commitments? Embody leadership you and others find compelling?"
